1. Overview
PaidSoon is an Android app published by Flovanta. It helps freelancers, small businesses, and agencies keep track of clients, invoices, due dates, and payment follow-ups.
PaidSoon is a local-first app. Your data is stored on your device. The app does not have a backend server, user accounts, or cloud sync. It does not process, send, or receive financial transactions on your behalf, and it does not connect to your bank account or payment processor.
When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it refers to Flovanta. When it says "you" or "your," it refers to the person using the app.
2. Data you enter
When you use PaidSoon, you may enter information to track your invoices and clients. This may include:
Client information
- Client or payer names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
Invoice information
- Invoice amounts and currency
- Invoice numbers and descriptions
- Issue dates and due dates
- Payment status
- Notes
Reminder and app settings
- Your business name
- Preferred currency, language, and date format
- Reminder timing, frequency, tone, and channel preferences
- Grace period and escalation settings
- Notification preferences
You decide what to enter. The app does not require information beyond what is needed for a given feature, and does not request information from external sources.
3. How your data is stored
All the information you enter is stored locally on your Android device, in the app's internal database and local preferences. This includes clients, invoices, reminder history, reminder schedules, app settings, and onboarding state.
Because your data lives on your device, its security depends on your device's own protections — such as screen lock, software updates, and device encryption managed by Android. We recommend keeping your operating system up to date and using a secure lock screen.
4. Reminders and external apps
PaidSoon can help you prepare payment reminder messages. When you choose to send a reminder, the app opens an external app on your device — such as your email app, SMS app, WhatsApp, or WhatsApp Business — with a pre-filled message ready for your review.
What the reminder message may contain
The generated message may include details from your records, such as:
- Client name
- Invoice amount
- Due date
- Number of days overdue
- A payment reminder text based on your tone and channel preferences
How sending works
- Email: PaidSoon opens your device's email app with the recipient, subject line, and message body pre-filled. You review and send the email yourself.
- SMS: PaidSoon opens your device's SMS app with the phone number and message body pre-filled. You review and send the message yourself.
- WhatsApp: PaidSoon opens WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business — or, if neither is installed, opens a wa.me link in your browser — with the phone number and message pre-filled. You review and send the message yourself.
PaidSoon does not track whether recipients open, read, or click anything in the messages you send through external apps.
5. Notifications
PaidSoon may show local notifications on your device to remind you about upcoming or overdue payments. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — they are not sent from a server or push notification service.
A notification may include context from your records, such as a client name, invoice amount, or due date, to help you identify the relevant payment.
Permissions used
- Notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — used only to display local reminder notifications. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in your Android settings.
- Boot completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — used to reschedule your reminder notifications after your device restarts, so that reminders you set are not lost when your phone reboots.
These permissions are used solely for local reminder functionality and are not used to collect or transmit data.
6. Android backup and restore
If your device has automatic backups enabled (such as Google backup), Android may include PaidSoon's locally stored data in those backups. This is a standard Android feature managed by your device and Google account settings — not by PaidSoon.
These backups are governed by Google's privacy policy. If you want to prevent app data from being backed up, you can adjust your device's backup settings in Android system settings.
7. Third-party apps and services
PaidSoon does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, in-app billing SDKs, or Firebase services. The app does not contain tracking pixels or ad networks.
When you use PaidSoon to open an external app or service — such as your email app, SMS app, WhatsApp, or a web browser — that app or service is governed by its own privacy policy, not by this one. PaidSoon may open external links to:
- Flovanta's website
- This privacy policy page
- Google Play for updates, ratings, or sharing
- A support or contact page
We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party app you use in connection with PaidSoon.
8. Data deletion and user control
You have full control over the data in PaidSoon:
- Edit or delete records. You can edit or delete any client, invoice, or reminder record directly within the app.
- Clear app data. You can clear all of PaidSoon's stored data through your Android system settings (Apps → PaidSoon → Storage → Clear Data).
- Uninstall. Uninstalling PaidSoon removes all locally stored app data from your device, subject to your Android backup settings.
If you have contacted us by email for support and want us to delete that correspondence, you can request this by emailing hello@flovanta.com.
9. Children's privacy
PaidSoon is a business tool designed for adults. It is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has entered personal information into PaidSoon, please contact us at hello@flovanta.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the app or applicable regulations. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If a future version of PaidSoon introduces features that change how your data is handled — such as cloud sync, user accounts, or analytics — this policy will be updated before those features are released. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
